"The vast majority of French nineteenth century porcelains, commonly called "Old Paris" are not authored. The workshop of Marc Schoelcher was active at various locations during the years 1798-1834. The Schoelchers had a prominent salesroom on ‘’Boulevard des Italiens’’ in Paris.

A number of Schoelcher's pieces are on display at various museums, including The Metropolitan Museum, New York, and the ‘’Musée national de la porcelaine Adrien-Dubouché’’ National Museum in Limoges, France"
