French Rococo Revival Samson the Imitator with faux Chelsea gold anchor mark. Porcelain figurine of Mars, Roman Centurion, standing atop a typical rococo style base with typical coloring, . 10-1/2"H. He stands atop his base surrounded by a soldier's accoutrements (note lion's face on the hilt of the sword). Behind is a large display of bocage with multicolor flowers on green leaves. He is elaborately hand colored in glazes and gilt.
