19th Century Antique Crete Olive Jar
This is a fine example of a Crete olive jar from the island of Crete. It dates to the mid 1800's. It was used to store olive oil or in the production of olives. The olive jars are plastered each time the house is plastered thus they have the interesting layers of white plaster lending to the unique patina very reminiscent of the Greek Isles. I have a large inventory of these jars so please contact us for more options.
