19th Century French Paint Decorated Marble-Top Sideboard Buffet
A late 19th century French Belle Epoque Louis VXI style carved buffet in a gray and cream painted finish. The beveled block front rouge marble top above one long frieze drawer over double glazed doors, flanked by two short drawer over single cabinet doors having raised panels in a crossed torch and quiver motif. In the manner of Maison Jansen's earlier work. 43 1/2 inches height, 72 inches width, 22 1/2 inches depth. Provenance: Novelist Elizabeth Dewberry's Atlanta residence
