Scandinavian Fall Front Milk Chest

This charming painted fall front which was used for storage in a Scandinavian farm kitchen for milk jugs can be re-purposed as a bar or high desk for a laptop. Great surface for mixing drinks, the fall front stands 35 1/2" from the floor when open, the inside storage for bottles is 40" wide x 17 1/2" deep x 15" high and there are two scolloped corner shelves for glasses. There is also ample additional storage with 3 large working drawers that glide smoothly when opening and closing. Superb joinery includes dovetailed drawers with serpentine fronts, all solid wood construction, carved paw feet and full turned columns that frame the fall front. This is the original paint as it was found in Denmark. Hand forged iron pulls and key plates. All of the locks are original and working with 1 key.

Carbon Foot Print Mission Statement: We are an ecologically minded company that believes in recycling as a means of reducing the global carbon footprint. Whether we are restoring period antiques of exceptional quality to most exacting standers or re-finishing antiques that have been neglected and are no longer marketable our end game is to recycle our finds back into circulation to save the forest and the carbon producing energy that it takes to manufacture new furniture. Whenever possible we use LED certified organic finishing materials such as tung oil. We never us lacquer or other toxic environmentally harmful finishes and when plywood is required we only use American sourced Columbia forest products that are made without formaldehyde. We re-purpose old wood whenever possible to integrate into our projects or source wood from small mills that get their timber from private homeowners that usually have trees cut down for safety reasons or new construction.
