English Jacobean style court cupboard made of oak of deep rich color and desirable small size. Court cupboards were the forerunner of the dresser and plate rack. The where used for food storage in the Inns and for storing Pewter. Bobbin turned columns typical of this early period. Stiles run down to form feet. Original back boards. A very nice rare piece. Original backboards and interior shelves. Found in the Lake District Cumbria England.
