Late Empire early Biedermeier chiffonier with split turned column and well articulated Egyptian influenced palmette carved capital. Book matched crotch mahogany in a continuous pattern from the top to the bottom of the cabinet. Veneer is in a contiguous sequence as it was cut from tree. Original brass key escutcheon and (1) original key. This multi purpose chest works well in a bedroom, dining room or in an office. It is not only beautiful but very functional.
