French 19th Century Empire Walnut Commode
This beautiful walnut Empire four drawer commode was made in France in the 19th century. Exceptional patina can be found in the lightly toned solid walnut. The facade is dominated by the four drawers that compose this commode. Three are outfitted with large circular brass pulls and shied escutcheons surrounding the functioning locks. Above these is a fourth, hidden drawer that has no hardware or lock. The drawers are flanked by column pilasters that have a decorative brass harp embellishing their capitals. A very handsome, well-sized commode!
