Beautiful pair of commodes, mahogany veneer on pinewood.
Attributed to Friedrich Gottlob Hoffmann (1741 - 1806), a furniture maker in Leipzig at the end of the 18th century.
Top and drawers are separated by a frieze, composed of alternating boxwood and rosewood veneer rectangles.
