A handsome Swedish Karl Johan Empire Secretary a style better known throughout most of Europe in 1820 as Biedermeier. In mahogany with birch interior and ebonized details. Top gallery consists of three drawers and mirrored colonnade opening to reveal a secret compartment. Fall front opens to desk with open compartments, one long drawer on the top and three smaller drawers on the bottom. Bottom cabinet offers one shelf. Sweden, circa 1820.
