French 19th Century Inlaid Neoclassical Louis XVI Writing Table

Neoclassical Louis XVI "table a ecrire" writing table, its rectangular parquetry top inlaid in crosshatched geometric design, surrounded by a three-quarter pierced gilt bronze gallery, above a single frieze drawer, mounted with gilt bronze scrolling ormolu, trimmed in beading. Bronze dore' floral sprays decorate each corner, raised on turret-headed, round, tapering legs, inset with cockbeading, ending in acathine caps.

Height of table measures 28.5".
