Charming Royal Copenhagen Antique Lobster Dish
Royal Copenhagen Lobster Bowl, $135 with 15% off
This is an antique Royal Copenhagen lobster bowl. This style is highly collectible, however, what sets this piece apart is the fact that it is one of the earliest models and in excellent condition. Royal Copenhagen, or the Royal Porcelain Factory, was found in Copenhagen on May 1st, 1775. To this day their factory mark, three wavy lines representing Denmark’s three straits, is recognized worldwide.
This charming piece is very well marked. It includes Royal Copenhagen’s mark, the date mark which reveals the piece to be from 1894-1900, the artist’s signature (“CO”), the pattern number (3277), as well as the edition number which is printed as 8/14. This dish was done by hand, there are no cracks, chips, or tarnishes in the glaze. The bowl has a diameter of 6 inches and has a seat height of approximately 2 inches. The colors in this piece have stood the test of time. The light blue and white reflect the nautical theme. This piece is truly in mint condition!
