German Antique Porcelain Allegorical Figural Group, Meissen

Allegorical representation of love and marriage. Right and left of a pedestal with a flower basket stand two figures, one female holding flowers, the other one male holding a torch. In front of the pedestal sits a putto. The male figure could be a representation of Hymenaios, the god of marriage ceremonies. The putto can easily be seen as Amor and in this case the female figure would be a representation of Venus, the goddess of love and beauty.
Underglaze blue cross mark, model number 1246 incised and 76 impressed. Painter mark 56 in red
