19th c. French Grandfather Clock or Comtoise
A good 19th c. Country French comtoise or grandfather clock with polychrome painted pine case and automated pendulum. Original seven day Morbier movement, cleaned and in working order, having an enamel face, signed by the clockmaker, Hubert Fevrier and the name of his town, Ganges (a small town in the Languedoc Province). Embossed and painted brass decoration and automated pendulum representing a horse drawn cart, with both the man and horse's head in motion as the pendulum swings. Nicely detailed painted village scene at the base. All original. A video of the motion of the pendulum is available upon request.
