Fabulous and graphic Mexican Brass and Mosiac Tile Box by Salvador Teran depicting a bold mythical creature, possibly a dragon. Brass profile combined with modernists/abstract glass tile work. The bottom of the box is signed "Hand Wrought, Hecho en Mexico" with the number 86, by Mexican silversmith and metal worker Salvador Teran circa 1950's. Teran was cousin to the famous Castillo family and one of the top silversmiths in Taxco.
