White Ironstone, 19th Century, “Sydenham” Pattern Vegetable Tureen
An English white ironstone vegetable tureen in a hard to find Sydenham pattern one of the early pieces potted up by T&R Boote, Thomas and Richard, in Burslem England. This piece has a tulip-shaped lid, the finial is called floral acorn and the whole piece is lightly tinted blue. This piece is fully signed on the bottom with a diamond-shaped registry mark of the pattern name, maker and date of September 3, 1854. There is also a stamped register mark on the inside of the lid.
