"Boch Freres Keramis was an important Belgian manufacturer from 1922-1945. Some of the most remarkable Art Deco pieces of stoneware pottery were manufactured by Boch Freres Keramis under the directorship of Charles Catteau, (1880-1966), an award-winning design director for the company. He went on to teach classes at the Ecole Industrielle in La Louviere and became a leader of the Art Deco movement.
