George III Walnut and Burl Walnut Tea Caddy with Hand Painting

A gorgeous George III walnut and burl walnut tea caddy with two floral hand-painted band which wrap the caddy and a hand-painted knotted bow oval frame medallion on the top with a basket of flowers. The color choices work well with the rich color of walnut. The front is presented with a nice brass escutcheon. Upon opening the top you will see two covered sections. The wood covers are painted on the edges and have a brass knob. Under these lids are the two sections used for tea leaves, circa 1870-1880.
