William Spratling Sterling Silver Candle Stick Holders

William Spratling Sterling Silver Candle Stick Holders. Spratling moved to Mexico in 1929, and opened a shop in La Aduana in 1931. In the early days of his shop, the focus was on decorative objects, tin ware, copper, weavings and some silver jewelry. By 1941 he had 120 employees, and sold items to major department stores in the states. The candle holders are wonderfully executed. A touch of ethnic flare, yet contemporary to today's standards. They measure about 4 1/2inches by 4 inches. Signed WS, circa mid 1950s
