Large Antique Copper Pail, Candy Kettle or Bucket
A classic rustic style bucket in copper, not brass. It's early - handmade dovetail joints are visible on the side. Made of sheet copper with an iron handle, this big pail has lots of character. It may originally have been a candy kettle, now it has lots of wear and patina - small dents all over, as if someone tossed wood into it regularly over the years. Use it for small logs or kindling, for chilling some beer in style, or to collect papers for recycling. Could serve as a cache pot for an indoor tree. It has lots of wear and patina - small dents all over, as if someone tossed wood into it regularly over the years. Functional and fairly large. You could polish it to a shine, or decide that the patina works with the heavily used condition. As is, it shows the copper warmth, with some of the green and bronzy colors of age.
