A large, colorful ceramic umbrella stand from Japan, likely between 1880 and 1910. Hand-painted primarily in cobalt blue and iron orange, with bits of green and gold typical of Imari. It is a straight cylinder and a pierced section circles the top. Excellent antique condition, with some light crazing and expected marks of age, but no cracks or large chips. A colorful piece that could add interest and a collected feel to your entryway - not to mention holding your umbrella.
