Victorian Sterling Silver Heart Shaped Perfume Bottle
This lovely repousse hand hammered sterling silver perfume bottle dates to the 1890's, late Victorian era. The heart shape is decorated with swirling flowers and foliage; in the center is an empty space that could hold a monogram. The perfume bottle makes a perfect gift, which could be monogrammed with someone's initials. The heart measures 1-1/2 inches by 1-1/4 inches. It is marked sterling on the top lid, and the lid unscrews open and closed; there is also a clasp that is ready to attach to a chain of your choice. The heart shaped perfume bottle is nicely detailed and would make a beautiful pendant. The perfume bottle is in great condition with no dents. The original fine dipping stick attached to the lid, is also sterling silver and in perfect condition. The detail work is remarkable and even the rim of the lid has a nice curled silver rope pattern. Originally from a chatelaine chain, this perfume bottle is a beautiful antique to wear as a pendent.
