Georgian-era 12KT Gold Citrine Gemstone Fob Charm
A stunning late Georgian-era spinning fob with a variety of champagne colored gemstones, shaped in the form of a shield and set into 12 karat yellow gold. The three gemstones featured on this fob are varieties of citrine; one is almost a lime green color- possibly a prasiolite- a variety of quartz. Citrine is known to activate the solar plexus chakra and is used metaphysically to increase, magnify and clarify personal power and energy.
The gems have beautiful clarity and are not monogrammed with an insignia. Traditionally, fobs were accessories that had an engraved insignia mark or monogram, used to personalize a wax seal. Fobs were a sign of elegance during the 19th century. This fob is ready to be monogrammed or marked by it's owner. The fob has been turned into a charm, with an original bale that allows for spinning motion as the charm calls for. The bale measures 1 inch, and the charm is also an inch, making the charm 2 inches. The gemstones measure 3/8 x 1/4 of an inch. This charm does not come with a chain but many are sold through the shop. if in need of a matching chain, do not hesitate to contact the shop. A beautiful antique, circa 1840. This fob is of the highest quality, perfect for a gift or for a charm collection.
