Folk Art consists of a range of utilitarian and decorative media, including metal, wood, paper, fabric and others. Folk art often reflects a broad diversity of ethnic, religious, and occupational influences and even national identity. The umbrella of Folk Art can be broad, and include items such as weathervanes, store signage, carved figures, portraits, game boards, and cast iron items. Terms that frequently overlap with folk art are tribal art, primitive art, and outsider art.
