The image depicting a horse with two dogs in front of a doorway and window; within a gilt wood carved frame with scrolls and flowers, molded fillet. Signature to Lower Left 'JNO EMMS 94". Emms exhibited at the Royal Academy several times, beginning in 1866. His paintings are signed “Jno Emms”.
