This elegant antique Biedermeier mirror features a pair of facing Classical figures and highlights the importance of referencing the Greek and Roman past. The mirror frame is made of cherrywood with a decorative overlay of double ebonized columns that support the niches framing the figures. The top of the mirror frame is distinctive with its pattern of crenellation usually seen in fortified structures but here used to emphasize the architectural past.
