Louis XVI Painted Mirror from the 18th Century


A stunning painted Louis XVI mirror with a decorative pediment. The pediment is centered with gilt wood laurel wreath and laurel swag around the center motif of “Trophée guerrier de carquois et masse d arme” (Warrior Trophy quiver and weapon mass). The carvings are on a soft blue backing. The mirror is surrounded with Laurel and Beading ornament in gilt wood. The mirror has the patina of silvering is worn but just the right look. Circa 1790-1810.
