Charlestown Navy yard by David Kasman
Born in Boston in 1962, David Kasman first studied sculpture while at Cornell University with noted artist Jim Cole. Upon graduating in 1985, Mr. Kasman studied life drawing privately with Warren Prosperi at his studio in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. From 1995 – 2002, Mr. Kasman turned his attention to oil painting and studied at the Lyme Academy of Fine Art in Old Lyme, Connecticut. He has exhibited his works at ; the Copley Society, Boston, the Newton History Museum, Fritzler Art Gallery, Mesa, Colorado, the Crane Collection, Wellesley, Massachusetts, and Premier Image Gallery, Ashland, Massachusetts. He has won several awards and prizes including the Roger T. Williams prize for first place at the National Sculpture Society in 1998. This oil on artist board is signed in the lower left hand corner.
