"Flag" by Konstantin Bokov, Found Art Collage on Wood, 2002
Ukranian-born junk artist Konstantin Bokov in 2002 created this mixed media collage of the United States flag out of found objects. Expelled from the USSR in 1975, Bokov moved to New York and made a name for himself as a pop culture artist, taking paint to found objects to create portraits and abstract collages. In this piece, Bokov sets a heart among the stars, with lines of music decorating the red stripes. This found art collage on wood is signed, dated and titled on the lower left and offered unframed.
