Starostin, A.M. (1924 -1987) was a Russian artist from Moscow. In 1963, due to his recognized talent, he became a member of the Union of Painters of USSR. In 1950-1960 Starostin mastered his genre paintings and portraits, later in his life he preferred landscapes and still-life. His works are exhibited in many major Russian museums and abroad. A lot of Starostin's works are in private collections. Through his entire career, the artist presents a beauty of Russian nature in his multiple works, that are filled up with an endless love to his motherland. "Winter. Horse is tired," signed and dated 1958 on the lower right. Oil on board. Condition is very good.
