Joseph Paul Meslé (1855-1927)
Born January 25, 1855 in Saint-Servan, near Saint-Malo, His gift for drawing are then so obvious that the boy is directed at the School of Fine Arts of Rennes.
In 1875 Meslé share for Fine Arts in Paris with a letter of Jean François Millet (1814-1875), a brilliant student, hard and conscientious worker in participating in the 1880 Salon Ten years later he left the French artists to join in 1892, Rodin, Puvis of Chavannes, the splinter of the National Society of Fine Arts. Meslé moved to Kidney in the 1881-1882 years, he soon became a renowned portrait painter, in 1890 he married Yacinthe Bremontier. Iles moved in to Jaulgonne located along the Marne, between Dormans and Château-Thierry, a few miles from his colleague, Leon Lhermitte (1844-1925). In 1896 the couple moved to Chamigny. Very concerned with the artistic movements of his time, he hears the cry of the wild beasts, exhibited with the "neo-impressionist Lagny, frequent Lhermitte and painters Luzancy, Bouché and Massé. A Chamigny, Meslé will provide advice to an enthusiastic young man, accomplished violinist and crazy paint; Plansons André (1898-1981).
Meslé knows success, his paintings sell well in France and the United States, he exhibited at the Galerie Georges Petit in 1925 US buy all his paintings stock.
Meslé moves suddenly June 20, 1927.
