"Three Nudes" by Kyohei Inukai, Oil Painting, 1938
Kyohei Inukai (1913-1985) depicts three women sitting in a cove, a small sailing ship drifting by in the background. They are nude, except for their colorful headscarves. Inukai rendered the figures in a distinctly modern style, reminiscent of Picasso. Inukai, who occasionally painted under the name "Earl Goodenow", is typically known for his geometric abstract artworks. This unique painting is signed on the lower left "EG" and is offered in a carved black frame.
