Hungarian painter. Was born in
Csurgó,Hungary in 1868.
He pursued his studies at the School of Decorative Arts, Budapest as the student of Bertalan SZÉKELY, followed by study tours in German, Italy, England and the Netherlands. In 1910 the artist became professor at the Academy of Fine Arts, Budapest. He was a prolific artist. His favorite themes were the Hungarian hilly, wooded highlands, the dull dusk of the forests, the atmosphere of Lake Balaton shining like gold and trees fallen asleep in winter or bursting into flowers in spring. The artist participated in several exhibitions in Budapest and in Venice. A series of his landscapes painted in a realistic way are in the property of the Hungarian National Gallery.
