Giambologna’s "The Rape of the Sabine Woman" Bronze by Amilcare Santini (1910 – 1975)
This is a lovely and substantial bronze (19" tall & approx. 25 lbs.) by Amilcare Santini (1910 – 1975) and offers incredible detail to the story of the abduction of Sabine women by the first generation of Roman men during the Renaissance. This piece is mounted onto a marble base and is just a magnificent piece from the Mid-Century period. The base has been professionally repaired and completely maintains its structural & artistic integrity.
