George Sharp Sterling Silver Hot Toddy Ladle
This gorgeous sterling silver ladle has a unique bucket shape by renown silversmith George Sharp. This ladle is a Hot Toddy Ladle, it has a gilt bowl with a monogram of a K. It weights 35 Grams or 1.2 oz troy. George Sharp was a silversmith in Philadelphia, from 1848-50 then he was recorded as being in Danville, Ky. from 1850-1870. During this time he made silver for Bailey & Co. His style is unique and identified by his fabulous terminal and hexagonal stock to the lengths of the ladle. The curved handle ladle measures approx. 7 1/4" long. The bucket bowl measures approx. 1 1/2" in diameter & 1 1/8" tall. It is decorated beaded work around the bowl and the finials. A wonderful example of his work.
