Rare Georg Jensen Hand-Hammered Sterling Silver Cone and Leaf Footed Bowl
This is a lovely and very rare sterling silver low footed bowl, made in the Cone and Leaf pattern (introduced in 1931) by Georg Jensen. The round bowl has a hand hammered finish on the outside and sits suspended from the base by a row of figural pinecones and leaves. This bowl can be used as a candy or nut dish. It is in excellent condition and would make a great addition to any Jensen collection.
It measures 4 1/8" x 1 5/8" and weighs 128 grams, or 4.12 Troy ounces. The bottom is marked "DESSIN OB," for the designer Ove Broobeck. It is marked with the "GEORG JENSEN" date mark which indicates it was made in the 1930s, along with "DENMARK," "STERLING," and the pattern number "641A."
