French Sterling Silver Wine Taster
This is a beautiful and elegant sterling silver wine taster, made by Henin & Cie in Paris around 1900. Henin & Cie was a successor of Henin & Vivier.
Wine tasters like this are typically used by sommeliers when judging wines. This one has bubble-shaped hollows and indented lines, which allow the taster to see the color and clarity of the wine. The handle is equipped with a oval-shaped thumb rest, making it very comfortable to grip.
This taster is expertly crafted in thick sterling silver and it is in excellent condition, with no visible dents. It would make a great gift for any wine enthusiast!
It measures 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" x 1" and weighs 82 grams, or about 2.64 Troy ounces. It is marked with the "H & C" of Henin & Cie.
