Art Deco Table with Acanthus Leaves Motif by T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings
A beautiful and important carved Art Deco period table that fuses Classical design elements with Modernism attributed to celebrated furniture designer Terence Harold Robsjohn-Gibbings, made c. 1940. The table features acanthus leaves, a staple of Robsjohn-Gibbings designs, with streamlined 'paw' feet. The heirs of the estate the table was acquired from were told by their father that the piece had originally been custom made by Robsjohn-Gibbings, and he had acquired it c. 1970.
