Willy Rizzo Signed "Flaminia" Chrome, Brass Vintage Coffee Table, France circa 1970
Willy Rizzo Signed "Flaminia" Chrome, Brass Vintage Coffee Table, Glass Top, France c.1970. Willy Rizzo, the famous photographer who happened upon furniture design almost as a by product of needing fabulous interiors in which to photograph the inhabitants of "la dolce vita" in Italy, opened a factory in Tivoli in 1968 and over the next ten years created the iconic designs which are still desirable artifacts today. Willy’s work was in constant demand because of his innate understanding of how to fuse modern design with the neoclassical taste of the past. This handsome table combines the crispness of chrome in a clean rectangular shape to enclose a slender frame of brass to frame the original smoked glass top. Elegant and lean this table was perfect to have with low slung leather sofas in an open interior. His signature, Willy Rizzo, appears close to one leg and is clearly visible in the photograph provided.
