From an old Brookville Long Island mansion come these documented fine French marble-top console / desserts by Maison Jansen. The chiseled bronze of jewelry quality run the length of these one of a kind console tables. Louis XVI stylized legs having bronze sabots terminating in boxed bronze caps leading to a bronze framed lower marble shelf area with flowing reeded columns supporting an upper apron with a single drawer with finely bronze mounts to an upper marble-top within a bronze galleried frame. Marble tops having been professionally repaired at some point in time. Both come with a letter of authentication from James Archer Abbott author of Jansen Fine Furniture and Designing Camelot as well as currently serving as Director and Curator, Evergreen Museum & Library at Johns Hopkins University.
