Hungarian Desk in Palisander Wood


The signing of the agreement happened on May 11, 1914 between Odon Erody and furniture maker Tamas Kantor to order the credenza/bookcase. In the order all the qualifications, pricing, time payment, installation and design details were stated. The order was completed on June 8, 1916.
Copy of the original document is on hand. 
The piece is done in the transitional period between Art Nuevo and Art Deco. It has spacious drawers with decorative carving on the front and the back.  
Palisander wood, inside is a mahogany wood.
