Early Irish Burled Mahogany Lowboy - 1750-1760
This dressing table is period Queen Anne, or early Chippendale with a remarkable free form shape in front. Most likely Irish 1750-1760, it is made of chestnut and burled mahogany with a bible matched top, and book matched sides, in remarkable condition for its age. All secondary wood is chestnut, as well as the legs. Period hardware. This piece is diminutive in scale - a bit small for dressing table, but useful as a modern side table or night stand. This piece had been painted and we commissioned a careful restoration of the finish.
