Pair of early 19th century French Aubusson tapestry fragments that depicts right and left facing winged griffins with scrolling acanthus leaves and flowers. Finely woven in shades of pink, cream and beige on a black ground that really makes the design pop. Edged with a light gold 19th century metallic trim all on macadamia colored silk velvet, finished around the outside with a gold metallic cording, 100% down insert.
