17th Century Tibetan Trunk

A magnificent 17th Century Tibetan Trunk. This incredible piece is constructed from coniferous woods. It is then enveloped in a fabric. The fabric is then painted with traditional Tibetan motifs with indigenous pigments. Here, the trunk's central motif is that of the Dragon - always a protective force in the East. The Dragon is holding a Plate of Gem Stones. These Gem Stones represent the Earth's natural resources. The trunk retains its original iron fittings and circular hinges.

This Tibetan Trunk is indeed a fine piece of art work and will be enjoyed forever.
