Pencil and Watercolor Portrait of a Victorian Woman in a Gilt Brass Frame
This is a beautifully drawn, hand-rendered portrait of a Victorian woman, made in 1911. It was drawn in pencil and then painted over with watercolors. The woman is in profile with her hair in a bun and a lovely scarf around her neck. The frame included is not original to the piece but is from the same time period and looks good. There is no glass covering the drawing. It is a brass frame with gilt paint, made in the 1890s. This portrait is in excellent condition.
The window encasing the portrait measures 4" x 6". The frame measures 8 3/4" x 12". The painting is signed "1911 A.H."
