Born in San Francisco, CA on Feb. 19, 1904, Leonard Scheu studied at the California School of Fine Arts and the Art Students League of New York City. In 1938 he settled in Laguna Beach and became active in the local art scene. He was a juror on art shows and was president of the local art association in 1955. He died in Irvine, California on April 12, 1995.
