A lithograph by Victor Vasarely from the Souvenirs de Portraits d'Artistes portfolio. Vasarely (1908-1997) was trained as a graphic artist in his native Hungary until he emigrated to Paris in 1930. From there he developed his signature style, Optical Art, recognizable as geometric abstract compositions where the artist experiments with shape and color. "Beryll" is from a limited edition of 800 with the signature in the plate. Printer: Mourlot, Paris. It is nicely framed and matted in all acid-free museum quality materials.
