"A Little Drink" by Milton Greene, Silkscreen, c. 1970
American artist Milton Greene shows a provocative image in this silkscreen print: a flirtatious Marilyn Monroe, on her knees, with a drink in her right hand. Part of the famous "Black" sitting from around 1953, this portrait rendered in black and white shows her fair skin and blonde hair contrast against the background and her black lingerie. Greene (1922-1985) was a fashion photographer, best known for his photo shoots with Monroe. They were also close friends, and ran a production studio together. This silkscreen is signed and numbered in pencil, edition: 166/300. It is offered unframed.
